As an Internet marketing professional, attending training and keeping up to date with the latest trends in the industry is crucial. Google changes their ranking algorithm, websites like Facebook appear from nowhere and what worked well yesterday in paid search advertising doesn't get the same results today. Change is the only thing that is constant about internet marketing.

Keeping your skills up to date and learning new ones takes time, precious time that could be spent elsewhere.

There is a wealth of written material on the Internet on virtually every aspect of Internet marketing, but who has the time to sift through and read it? Like most I have my favourite sites that I read frequently and a few that I'll tune into from time to time. The problem is finding the time to sit down and read it all. Personally, I have found that I can get the greatest value when I use my IPod to listen to some of the great podcasts that are available. I can take a walk or listen whilst driving and learn new skills at the same time.

John Marshall recently invited me to subscribe to MarketMotive. I have known John for a few years and I have always respected his clear no-nonsense thinking in the area of web analytics. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity.

John and his team of experts have put together a very high quality website with loads of audio and visual materials covering every aspect of Internet marketing. There is lots of content. So much so, that I have been busily downloading MP3 tracks to queue up on my IPod whilst watching Alan Rimm-Kaufmann's presentation on how to optimise PPC keywords and landing pages.

The MarketMotive team includes some heavyweight talent:

Avinash Kaushik, author of Web Analytics and Hour a Day (highly recommended) covers web analytics.

Alan Rimm-Kaufmann covers PPC and paid search marketing

Tod Malicot covers Search Engine Optimisation

Matt Bailey covers Social Media

Bryan Eisenberg covers Conversion Optimisation

Greg Jarboe & Jamie O'Donnell cover Online Publicity

And of course John himself.

What I like about this website is the combination of resource materials found in the Curriculum section and the more advanced topical content found throughout the site. Whilst the curriculum section isn't fully completed yet, what is there is invaluable for new internet marketers (or old hands needing a refresher).

There are also regular conference calls that all members can join and recordings of the calls are available afterwards in case you miss it. There is even an online forum where one of the team will answer questions online usually within an hour or so.

It even has a large number of the presentations and voice recordings from the last EMetrics Marketing Optimization conference in Washington that I attended last October. It is worth subscribing for these presentations alone.

If you are looking to refresh or develop skills for you or your team in online marketing then Market Motive is an excellent resource.

As a special introductory offer, MarketMotive is offering Panalysis subscribers a 1 month subscription for just $99 a saving of $200 on the normal price of $299.

Take a look at the sample content at http://www.marketmotive.com/knowledge/ and if you would like to take advantage of this special offer, please complete this short form and we will email you the promotional code.
