A simply way to improve your productivity – Get your website reports by email

Do you put off reviewing your website performance until your monthly report is due?

Regardless of what tool you use to analyse your site it is up to you to remember to log in and review the reports. You also need to remember which reports are important and to then review each of these in turn. All in all it is highly likely that this will be quickly become a chore that is left in the “I will get to it later pile”.

Your website reports are essential to growing your business, but reviewing them is often a dull and thankless task. Sure there are a lot of tasks in our business day that are rated at the same level as watching paint dry, but your website report can help you to make a real difference to your business.

One way that you can get the most out of your reports is to have the most essential reports sent to you each day by email. This way you can quickly review the key reports and then decide what action is required.

To do this effectively requires that you identify your top key performance indicators and goals for your website. If you are unsure of what these might be, I encourage you to talk to us to help you determine them. Once you know what you need to measure you then create a series of reports ( no more than 4 ) that will be sent to you each day and week. If you know what your targets are you can quickly review these reports in a few minutes.

It is equally crucial that you have these reports sent to you at a time of the day when you know that you will have time to review them. For some people first thing in the morning is good, but for others late in the evening is better. Getting the report at a time when you can review it is one key step to improving your website results (not to mention your web analytical skills!)
